Those lists complied by pop culture sources are always shown to be bogus when scrutinized. One of the first examples is Otis Boykin. The article give him credit for inventing the pacemaker. That is bogus. Boykin worked for a company that worked on the development of pacemakers. Boykin left the company and later sued them for his alleged contribution.
